About IIBEC Online Learning
  • What are the advantages of online study?
  • Studying online is a convenient and effective way to learn that saves students time and money. There's no need to schedule time away from work or travel to a classroom site. You can work at your own pace, when it is convenient for you – at the office, at home, or anywhere you have a computer, or tablet with Internet access
  • Are there specific times when I need to be in class?
  • No. These courses are available to you any time you log on – no matter the day or time. Once you register for a course, you will have access to the online course for 1 year.
  • What special study skills are required for online learning?
  • Self-motivation is a key ingredient. You also need to recognize when to review certain concepts before moving forward. Do not just click through. You are in control of your learning and your own learning pace. Take the time and you will make steady progress through the course. Use the quizzes to test yourself. You can go back and review previously covered material any time during the days the course is open.
  • Will there be an instructor?
  • There is no instructor, each section of the course plays like movie in your browser. Text and graphics demonstrate the principles of each chapter of the course. Some courses may feature audio sequences – others do not.
  • Will I know how I'm doing in the course?
  • Yes. You will be asked to answer questions at the end of each chapter. When you have completed the last chapter, there is a final quiz. Your responses are graded as you go to give you immediate feedback regarding your comprehension. Take the final quiz when you feel ready.
  • Do I receive continuing educational credit for an online course?
  • Yes. All courses receive Continuing Educational Hours (CEHs) from IIBEC. CEHs are awarded for the year in which the course is completed. See individual course descriptions for the number of CEHs associated with each course.
  • Can I go back and review the information even after I have completed the course?
  • Yes. Once you register for a course, you will have access to the online course for one year starting at your first log on. In that time you may go back to review content as often as you like.
  • How do I register for an online course?
  • 1. Register and then view the CATALOG. 2. Select a course from the CATALOG and follow the instructions to enroll.
    Trouble Logging In - If you already have an IIBEC Online Learning Portal account, please DO NOT create another. Contact support if you have forgotten your Log In ID.
  • You cannot log in to this site with your IIBEC credentials
  • Please register and create a new account for the IIBEC Online Learning Portal.
  • Just forgot your Password?
  • Click on the Forgot Your Password link right below the Login box.
    Course does not play
  • How can I be sure my Pop Up blockers are off?
  • For Safari - Go to settings, Safari, Pop Ups, (block Pop Ups)
    For Internet Explorer - Click the Tools button, and then click Internet options. - On the Privacy tab, under Pop-up Blocker, select or clear the Turn on Pop-up Blocker check box, and then click OK.
    For Chrome - In the top-right corner of Chrome, click the Chrome menu (3 lines) > Settings. At the bottom of the page, click 'Show Advanced Settings" - In the "Privacy" section, click the "Content Settings" button - In the 'Pop-ups' section, select 'Allow'.
  • Why does the course not load?
  • Try changing your browser to IE 11 and disabling your pop-up blocker.
    Course appears too big or too small on my screen
  • How can I make the course window appear larger?
  • On your keyboard, hold down the Ctrl key and click the + (plus) key to make it larger.
  • How can I make the course appear smaller, so I can see all the buttons?
  • On your keyboard, hold down the Ctrl button and click either the – (minus) key to make it smaller.
    Course is not showing completed and /or certificate button not showing
  • Why does my course still show In Progress when I have completed it.
  • • Be sure to exit the course; don’t just close the browser window • Refresh your My Course page. • If you used Internet Explorer the scores may not have passed • Contact Jennifer Roller, Director of Educational Services at jroller@iibec.org Or Support@Aptility.net to update your scores.
